Ronny Diederich, engineer at SIDEN and member of the working group behind ALUSEAU’s ‘Wat leeft?’ campaign, was a guest on the morning show (Moiesstudio) on Radio 100,7.
The interview focused on how our everyday habits have a direct impact on the sewer networks and wastewater treatment plants in the Grand-Duchy.
The ‘Wat leeft?’ campaign aims to raise awareness among citizens and encourage them to reconsider certain everyday habits. Wipes, food waste and other items that are disposed of in the toilet or sink regularly cause blockages and place unnecessary strain on infrastructure. This has not only technical, but also ecological and financial consequences. Through targeted information, the campaign seeks to foster greater awareness and highlight simple everyday actions that contribute to a more responsible management of wastewater.
